Tee off with great golf deals at Fairmont in the Alberta Rockies

There's an oft-quoted statistic that says Canada has the most golfers per capita in the world. True or not, one thing's for sure: we have some of the most beautiful golf courses in this country, and two of them come courtesy of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Both the Fairmont Banff Springs and the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge boast Thompson-designed courses—from prolific Toronto-born golf course architect Stanley Thompson, who carved out many courses here at home and internationally – and both have stunning scenery and great history, with 188 years of play between them.

And luckily for us, the two courses are also part and parcel of special deals this fall. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge's Golf & Spa package leads in at $449 and includes two nights accommodation with breakfast, two rounds of golf per room, per stay and a $200 spa credit. Eight pools, 26 bars, 14 restaurants and more importantly, five stars: the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa is one of the top all-inclusive properties on the Riviera Maya. It's also one of the newest properties for Sunwing Vacations.

The travel company is offering special introductory rates on vacation packages to the Mexico resort, with prices starting at $855 plus taxes, per person, double occupancy for a garden view junior suite, for departures Sept. 1 – Dec. 12. Bookings must be made by Sept. 14 and the lead-in rate represents a savings of $300 per couple.
